Seth Kearchner

I started racing when I was 10 years old in a racing go-kart at Monrovia Raceway. I won my first championship in the box stock medium class at age 15. I also raced at several other local tracks in the area including Summit Point, Shippensburg Speedway, Sandy Hook Raceway and Trail-way Speedway. At the age of 12 I had successfully started building my own engines and had my first win and many more. Racing karts taught me how to be  very smooth driving and attention to details was the key to win.

Once I sold all the racing go-karts and equipment, I decided to move on to bigger toys. I bought a truck and restored it while in high school. Then I went to college at Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, PA where I attained my associates degree in Automotive Technology with a concentration in performance. While at college I was involved in many performance related projects including building a super stock drag car, SCCA go-karts, and engine blue printing.

Once out of college, I was part of a mini-modified asphalt car at Old Dominion Speedway in Manassas, VA. During this time the mini obtained the track championship by winning 14 out of 17 races that year. The team also received many awards including most improved driver, crew chief of the year, and mechanic of the year twice.

Now that I have built my own car, I am looking forward to the support, encouragement, and assistance from all my friends and family. Thank you for all the help and support given to me so far.

Well to update my racing career/experience........ I had a good few years with my stock car racing ( '06, '07,'08). Winning the big race for my first ever win and only my 10th race in the car was awesome. My second year I was ready to go for a championship, I sure had my sophmore jinx with me though. First few races had about every body panel wrinkled, then motor glitches, then trans problems, a big wreck in june and then finally got on a roll. Sounds like a bad year but every finish was a top 5. A littel bit more luck and I would have had that prized championship, i think 14 points was the difference. I was very happy with second. Then came the 2008 race season......... Trail-ways discontinued the street stock class. I could not afford to move up to the next class so my #27 Monte Carlo was sold. My new plans are to move to the 600 Micro Sprint class for 2009. I wish for the same support and help I had with the stock car days...... to be continued...

2009.. Raced in the 600cc microsprint class for a few races before moving up to the 1000cc Sidewinder class. Wow what a difference from the old stock car!! It wasnt until early august that i started to get used to a sprint car. I raced at a new track to me, Path Valley with good sucess. Then my first race at trailways in the sidewinder I ended up flipping several times in the feature race on the first lap, not so good. The next week I got to run at the world famous Williams Grove Speedway, 120 mph and a solid 5th place finish. Then a month of being rained out before we headed back to Path Valley only to be involved in a wreck again. Ended out the season in the Kevin Grobrecht Memorial race at trail-ways with a dominating heat race win and 6th place in the feature. 2010 to be another year in the Sidewinder class.. as always... to be continued.....

2010... Many Improvements to the 2003 Probe Sidewinder over the winter occured to prepare for the new season. Larger axle, wheels and wing. I was just weeks away from the first race and suffered the loss of my life so far, my Dad, George, past away in February. It was the hardest thing I have ever gone through. That didnt stop my love for racing and I am continuing to race, this year mainly on my own at the shop and track. The first race was good, second race flipped down the straightaway at trailways destroying a lot of parts and that used up my spare parts for the year. I have managed to finish all the other races in the top 10 and I am happy with those results. June 22 I was on a local TV show called RACENIGHT with Jessie Morrison broadcasted throughout Adams county, PA. Check out ACTV.org to view the show. to be continued......
